A distinctly modern scheme set within a conservation area. The client’s brief was for a user-friendly and reduced mobility design whilst creating a high-quality home through the use of sustainable construction methods and products. 

The design was faced with the challenge of working with the existing landscape and the layout of the dwelling is influenced by the existing site levels and trees.

Through a series of mono-pitched and gull wing roofs and large south facing glazing, the design remains open to the landscape and maximises the views beyond the site. The large expanses of glass allows natural daylight throughout the open plan arrangement providing the occupants with good connectivity to the external environment along with well-lit spaces.
