PROJECT OVERVIEW
Design. The site a mixture of single and two storey redundant commercial units, which had fallen into a state of disrepair.
The 0.12 hectare site occupies a corner plot in Mickleover, two miles from Derby City Centre where Uttoxeter Road meets Lime Avenue. A key location within the popular suburb of Mickleover.
The site, a former garage and petrol station had long since been considered an eyesore. The new development for 8 retail units is configured into two detached units of 4.
The existing, surrounding street scene is a variety of architectural languages, however it is mostly related to a terrace of retail units fronting the road.
The units are of modern design and will be constructed of a mixed pallet of materials including natural stone cladding, glass and pressed metal fascia's, pilasters and cladding.
