ASHBOURNE DERBYSHIRE

Completed project on the outskirts of Ashbourne. The original dwelling was single storey and sits in a large plot with excellent countryside views. The bungalow was extended across the north-west elevation.

The existing dwelling was red-brown brick with plain tiled hipped roofs and simple door and window openings. The extension increased the kitchen, dining and living areas across the rear of the property to enable open-plan spacious living and to maximise natural daylight and the views across the countryside.

The extension comprises a series of glazed gables with rendered block work in-between. The design is contemporary in character and refreshes the property for the 21st Century.
