Matthew Montague Architects (MMA) is proud to announce that Derby City Council has presented us with a conservation award for the conversion of The Liversage Trust HQ, recognising our transformation of the former workshop at 21 Alice Street into the Trust’s new headquarters.

This recognition celebrates our commitment to preserving Derby’s architectural heritage while delivering modern, functional spaces for the city’s oldest charity.

The George Rennie City Heritage Award was presented by the Mayor of Derby, Councillor Ajit Singh Atwal, during a ceremony at the Civic Suite in the Council House. Tom Copestake accepted the award on behalf of MMA, acknowledging the collaborative efforts that brought this project to fruition.

Situated within the Nottingham Road Conservation Area, the project involved the sensitive conversion of a historic workshop into a contemporary office and workshop facility. Key heritage features, such as the internal queen post roof trusses, were meticulously restored and Crittall-style steel windows and doors were installed to maintain the building's original character while meeting modern building standards. The addition of Solar Photovoltaic (PV) panels underscores the Trust's commitment to sustainability by reducing reliance on mains electricity.

The renovated space now houses a reception area, offices, meeting rooms and a workshop for the joinery and estate maintenance teams. This consolidation enhances operational efficiency and fosters better collaboration among the Trust's administration and maintenance staff.

Working alongside contractors Nottingham Developments Ltd. and Quantity Surveyors Addison Hunt, the project was delivered on time and within budget. This achievement not only revitalises a historic structure but also strengthens the Trust's ability to serve the Derby community effectively.

My brother sent me https://roulettesiteshub.co.uk/new-roulette-sites/ after we spent time talking about how nice it is when web pages load effortlessly without heavy scripts dragging down browser performance. I loaded the link on my laptop during a short afternoon break while organizing my film camera lenses and filters. The interface felt wonderfully nimble, shifting between different sections smoothly without any frustrating delays. I really appreciated how sensible and orderly the layout was, making the whole visit completely hassle-free. It proved to be a subtle, high-quality online space that offered a great mental reset before getting back to my gear.

  1. Greetings folks! I found this site through a link in a Discord server for slot enthusiasts. Someone shared a screenshot of a massive win. I decided to check it out and was immediately drawn to their tournament schedule. They have slot races running constantly, which adds a lot of excitement to regular play. I entered a free tournament and actually won a cash prize. The leaderboard updated in real-time, which was very thrilling. Finding competitive promotions in the UK is rare, but lizaro casino really delivers on that front for me.

I just read your Conservation award for conversion of The Liversage Trust HQ post and it’s really inspiring to see how thoughtful design and careful restoration can breathe new life into historic buildings while respecting their original character, especially how the project at 21 Alice Street in Derby turned an old workshop into a functional headquarters with offices, meeting spaces, and workshop areas that support the charity’s work in the community, and the fact that this sensitive conversion was recognised with a conservation award by Derby City Council shows how well the team balanced heritage and modern needs, which isn’t always easy to do when working within a conservation area like Nottingham Road where original features such as queen post roof…
