Planning Application submitted for 14 new homes to transform derelict farm.

A revised planning application has been submitted to South Derbyshire District Council for a proposed housing development on the site of Mickle Meadow Farm, Rkyneld Road in Littleover. Talks have been on going with planners for some time. However, it is hoped that this new scheme will be given the go ahead.

Mickle Meadow Farm is a 2.3 acre site that currently comprises a large farm house and 11 redundant agricultural outbuildings, all of which are in need of substantial renovation.

The proposed planning application is for 14 new homes in a courtyard/countryside style. The proposed dwellings are a mixture of three, four and five bedroom houses. The courtyard development would be accessed through an existing, renovated archway. The farmhouse will be retained and renovated along with several other core buildings which will be converted.
