Extension to shops in Conservation Area Complete.

Works have now completed on new, extended retail premises on the corner of Vicarage Road in Mickleover. The two-storey extension has created a larger commercial unit which is now a restaurant and an additional residential unit at first floor.

The new is an extension of the existing façade. The ridge and eaves levels match through and the new windows replicate those of the existing. Replicating the existing at first and roof level has enhanced the elevation and strengthened the look of the corner façade.

The extension to the rear of the building has a more contemporary styling with floor to ceiling glazing, natural light now floods the ground floor area. Accessible entrances have also been added. Overall an improvement to the shop frontage in a conservation area.
