The Cross Keys, Ashbourne Road, Turnditch.

Matthew Montague Architects are delighted to announce that they are working with DCH Builders on the regeneration of The Cross Keys Public House on Ashbourne Road in Turnditch. The former public house closed its doors for the last time in 2016. Alternative uses for the building were explored and the development of new residential dwellings was granted planning permission. The building has now been purchased by Derby based DCH Builders and Matthew Montague Architects are working with DCH to bring the scheme to fruition. Planning permission has been granted for the construction of 4 new 2 bedroom apartments at the rear of the building and the main public house will be converted into 4 houses, 3 three bedroomed houses and 1 four bedroomed house. Many of the original features of the building will be retained and restored. Work is expected to start on site in early summer 2021.
